I've never had a leak with my Solatube unit. Can't speak to the ice dam and snow issue because the homes that I installed these on were in South Florida and North Georgia. Wind driven rain is not a problem - never a leak. It's only snowed 4 or 5 inches once in recent years here in Georgia - never enough to pile up and stick around for more than a few days. I was an insurance adjustor ( proudly owning cougars paws) and often dealt with leaking skylights due to snow and ice dams. Do these seem fairly water tight? Thanks again!
