This project is continued from Part 2.
E-Mail Notice Action
The Camera_Times Time Table will restrict video motions e-mail notices to Closed business hours by associating it with Messaging Action for video motion events. The process steps in this section are:
Navigate to: Setup → Event Control → Action Group Overview
and select the Camera_Times Time Table profile from the drop down menu for the Arming column as shown:
Click Set to save the Camera_Times Messaging value.
Click the Edit button on the Messaging row (above) to open the Messaging Action Group screen:
Select VM – Video Motion and E-Mail: AlarmMail values as shown.
Click Set and Close to save the changes.
Open & Closed Business Hours Camera Views
The Continuous Recording camera mode is indicated by the red status circle at the top right of the screen capture made at 10:05am, which is as it should be during Open business hours from 8am to 9:59pm. The (EM) action symbol for “Send an E-Mail” action in the status bar is grayed out to indicate the e-mail action is inactive, i.e. disabled by the Time Table. Aside: The camera image has been pixilated for privacy reasons.
At 5:19am during Closed business hours, the camera display has a yellow status circle to indicate Event Recording is active. The (EM) action symbol for “Send an E-Mail” action in the status bar is colored yellow out to indicate the e-mail action is enabled. Additional testing during Closed hours (10pm to 7:59am) confirmed the AlarmMail is sent with the camera image when a video motion window is triggered by movement in the image, for example, by a person walking in the field of view.
