• Measure
• Cut
• Dry fit the PVC pipe and fittings
• Cement together with PVC glue

Fortunately a vent line to the roof was roughed in when the home was built so I only had to make the interior vent pipe connections to the basin.

Blue lines in the next photos highlight the air vent line. The vent line extends about 3 inches below the lid of the sewage basin and is sealed by rubber grommet.

Sewage Basin Plumbing Connections

A slip union was installed about six feet above the floor. This provides standing room clearance to disassemble of the lower portion of the vent line and remove the split cover to the sewage basin. Horizontal sections of the vent pipe are supported by metal hanger straps from the floor joists.
